LATEST iMAC
Towards the end of last week, we heard rumors that Apple is planning to roll out a refreshed lineup of the Mac Mini and the new iPad Air 2 and iPad Mini 3 in October, timed with the release of OS X 10.10 Yosemite.

Another report adds a new product to that line – a new iMac with a 27” Retina display.   The event to announce all of these products has not yet been made official but one report suggests that, in a similar vein to the iOS 8/iPhone event earlier this month, this event could be much larger than anticipated.

Rumored Retina iMac Features :

The iMac retina screen is reported to be a 5K display with a resolution of 5120 x 2880. The Cupertino Company is currently working on reconfiguring the user interface of Yosemite to support this new resolution and, if the report is to be believed, the Apple Thunderbolt displays will be getting the same treatment in the near future, possibly before the end of the year.
While none of this is definite at the moment, it is looking likely that we can settle in for another Apple extravaganza sometime in October. Along with the new iPads, the Ma Mini and the iMac, it is possible that Apple will announce the new Thunderbolt display as well.

The Retina MacBook Air is rumored to be hanging back for the new Broadwell processor but the iMac retina will shop with the aged Haswell, a processor that is now nearing the end of its life cycle. Despite that, a top end version of the iMac will have a 4.0 GHz processor, the i7-4790K, so there won’t be too much impact on performance.

4 THINGS YOU MUST NEVER DO WITH YOUR iPHONE 6 PLUS
With the iPhone 6 Plus, Apple broke their own mold and came up with something much bigger and much slimmer than ever before; something that doesn’t have quite such a solid feel to it.

Obviously, Apple shouldn’t have to provide a list of things you shouldn’t do with your iPhone 6 Plus but, following some of the recent news items, perhaps they should have done. In the absence of that, we’ve drawn up a list of 4 things you must not do with your iPhone 6 Plus:
  1. Don’t Drop it !
The iPhone is constructed from glass and aluminum and will easily shatter or chip if it comes into contact with anything solid – like concrete. Even if it doesn’t look damaged, there is a good chance internal damage has been done.

  1. Don’t Put it in Your Back Pocket
Apple tells us that the chances of the iPhone 6 Plus bending are small but that doesn’t negate the stories in the media or the so-called “bendgate” video. Best thing is, don’t put your iPhone 6 Plus in your pocket and leave it there.

  1. Don’t Drop it in Water
While the iPhone 6 Plus has some water-resistant properties, it isn’t waterproof to the extent where it can survive deep water or prolonged immersion. If you do drop it in water, fish it out immediately and try to dry it off before too much damage is done.

  1. Don’t Microwave it!
A new ad, reportedly from 4Chan, is doing the rounds. It tells you that you can charge your iPhone 6 Plus in the microwave. Please don’t do it. Microwaves and metal, especially not metal that is full of electronic components, do not mix.
